The Orio club has the longest and most distinguished record in the country.
It should be kept in mind that the "yellow team" competes in all modes of fixed-seat rowing: Skiff, Trainerilla and Trainera. They also compete in sliding-seat Olympic rowing in all eight categories: Skiff, Double Scull, Quadruple Scull, Coxless pair, Coxless four, Coxed pair, Four with coxswain and Eight with coxswain (Main event).
FIXED SEAT . 1879 - 2004
Focusing on Traditional Rowing, Orio has chalked up an almost endless list of wins in the different events, translating into 418 victories throughout its history: 131 Championships, 38 Leagues, and 249 Flags ( Banderas ) -Trophies.
CHAMPIONSHIPS: 131 Titles.
- 2 CANTABRIA championships in the Trainera category. - 33 SPANISH Championships since the event began in 1944, with Orio taking more wins in the senior category than any other team: 28 titles. Added to this are championships in the remaining categories: 3 in Over 17s, 1 in 14-17 year-olds and 1 in Under 14s.
By mode: 10 in Skiff; 8 in Trainerilla; 15 in Trainera.
- 41 Basque Championships. These championships began to be held on an intermittent basis in the 1980s. Today it is a yearly event.
By mode: Skiff 23; Trainerilla 12; Trainera 6.
- 55 GIPUZKOA Championships in all categories and modes:

FLAGS + TROPHIES: 249
The numerous Flags and Trophies (249) won all along the coast of the Bay of Biscay account for rest of the team's victories, bringing the total to 418.
The most outstanding accomplishment have been the 313 gold medals awarded to the team over the last fourteen years (1991-2004), the most splendid period in Orio's history, with 275 Flags, 16 Trophies and 22 Descents + Qualifying Heats:
- 111 Flags and 3 Trophies in Skiffs;
- 42 Flags and 7 Trophies in Trainerillas;
- 122 Flags, 6 Trophies and 22 Descents + Qualifying Heats in Trainera.
TRAINERA
Centring only on TRAINERA rowing, particular mention should be made of the 238 wins in all types of events: (Challenges, Descents, Qualifying Heats, Leagues, Championships, Flags and Trophies) so far bringing the team a total of 195 FLAGS and 14 TROPHIES.
The most outstanding of these are:
- 30 LA CONCHA Flags.
- 2 Cantabria Championships (1930-1943).
- 1 Silver trophy awarded by the Government of Bizkaia for winning the Abra Regatta on three occasions (1934-1935...1942).
- 3 Flags from the recently created Basque Trainera League.
- 15 Spanish Championships.
- 6 Basque Championships.
- 7 Gipuzkoa Championships.
The ORIO trainera has triumphed and won flags all along the Bay of Biscay.Most noteworthy are: Biarritz, S.J.Luz, Hondarribia, Pasaia, Donostia, Orio, Zarautz, Getaria, Zumaia, Ondárroa, Lekeitio, Bermeo, Elantxobe, Plentzia, Getxo, Erandio, Bilbao, Portugalete, Santurtzi, Zierbena, Castro Urdiales, Santoña, Astillero, Camargo, Santander, Luanco, Castropol, A Coruña, Moaña and Vigo.
As an unrepeatable anecdote we should mention the fabulous Bandera EUSKADI-EXPO 92 victory at the World's Fair in SEVILLE.
Among other information of interest is the first place in the ranking bests in other regattas. Examples include:
